A couple of Saturday’s ago, a friend and I made plans for brunch at the West Egg Cafe. While I waited for her to arrive, I walked around West Midtown and stumbled upon Brash coffeeshop.
Inside of an old shipping container, this coffee shop is more of the walk-thru variety and is perfect for the on-the-go cup of coffee or a quick bite.

The decor is what I like to call polished-industrial. There are wood rustic surfaces, tall bar stools, a dark-painted backsplash, and stainless steel appliances. Toward the back of the container (across from the entrance) is a large window any kitchen lover would dream for that looks out onto Howell Mill Road.
Separate outdoor seating areas (picnic style seating on one side of the container and a terrace style seating on the other) supplement the limited seating inside of the coffee shop.
I ordered a raspberry danish and an almond milk latte, and both were delicious! 😛
Brash is definitely a place worth checking out if you’re in the area!
Cheers!
Love places using shipping containers! Especially since I’m from that industry ☺️ And so love the term “polished industrial”!

Why, thank you! I used to work in the shipping industry too. I always think it’s cool when people repurpose anything, but to repurpose a shipping container always seemed cool to me 🙂
Thank you for the follow!
